The speaker
Dr. Kun-hui Ku is Associate Professor at the Institute of Anthropology, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. She teaches Austronesian Studies and has done extensive research among Austronesian-speakers in Taiwan since late 1980s, especially the Paiwan. Recently she has also extended her research area to island Southeast Asia. Her research interests include religion, material and symbolic cultures, historical anthropology, legal anthropology, and comparative Austronesian Studies.
